Research Training Recovery
to valorize the architectural heritage
Traditional architecture represents a heritage of knowledge and sustainable practices that we must preserve and transmit to new generations. Fondazione Canova works to combat the abandonment of villages and historic buildings, promoting the study and application of stone construction techniques in dialogue with the most updated approaches of green building.
Work camps and educational construction sites
Theory and practice on the field
Fondazione Canova organizes work camps and architectural recovery workshops in collaboration with Italian and international universities. These training paths offer participants the opportunity to work directly on the field, combining theoretical planning with practical activity on the construction site.
The educational construction sites are not only moments of learning, but spaces for meeting and intercultural exchange. Every construction site becomes a bridge between past and future, an opportunity to understand the cultural value of traditional architecture and the role it can have today.

The Canova International Architect Encounter
A dialogue between design, living, and the landscape
Since 2001, Fondazione Canova has organized the “Canova International Architect Encounter,” an event that brings together architects, scholars, and professionals from all over the world to reflect on the relationship between architecture, territory, and contemporaneity.
Over the years, more than sixty architects have participated in the initiative, sharing experiences and visions on the future of living and the continuity between tradition and innovation.
